Affordable Workout Wear Finds

If there’s one thing I can count on in the summer, it’s the Alabama heat. As I’ve gotten older, I feel like the temperatures have gotten even higher during the summer months than they once did. I am not sure how I survived two a day soccer camps and training for cross country during June and July and am certainly glad that those days are over.

Despite not having rigorous workouts scheduled, I still feel like I live in athletic wear on weekends and after work as an attempt to stay semi-cool when doing things outside in the summer. While I love Lululemon as much as the next person, I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t necessarily want to spend a ton of money on workout clothes that I know everyone else at the gym may have. Instead, I’ve been on the hunt for affordable workout clothes that are cute and lightweight. And I hit the jackpot thanks to browsing Old Navy and Gap’s sites.

When scrolling through these two retailers looking for items to include in my Saturday Shopping posts, I came across some adorable tops that I couldn’t say no to (especially this one). When I saw the price and was able to shop from both retailers when the items were on sale, it felt like a no brainer. I even shared a try on of some of the Gap pieces on Instagram about a week ago and so many of y’all took advantage of these deals as well. I was mainly on the hunt for tops but have recently become obsessed with these shorts (and at $12.00 who wouldn’t be) and stocked up on a few more colors.

As for sizing, I like my workout tops to be loose and ended up sizing up to a medium in most of the shirts. For the most part, though they ran true to size so it would be a personal preference of how you like your workout clothes to fit as to which size top you may want to order. For the shorts, I stuck to a size small and given there already flowy nature I’d stick to your normal size. Lastly, y’all have probably heard me rave about this Amazon sports bra countless times already, but it really is that great, and I order mine in size small.

Since I only shot photos of two of the multiple pieces I got I thought it would be helpful to share some other affordable workout wear finds below for you to shop in case you’re like me and planning to live in workout clothes as an attempt to beat the summer heat.
