Gift Guide: My Christmas & Birthday Wish List

I’m going to be upfront with y’all on this, I’m not sure how much inspiration you’ll be garnering from my Christmas and birthday wish list. This year it was more challenging than ever to try to figure out what to ask for. I don’t really need anything, and while there are plenty of things I may have seen that perked my interest, I don’t necessarily need those items either since I have more than enough stuff. I found myself putting more pressure on myself than I usually do, continually reminding myself that this is the one time of the year that I have to ask for things with both major holidays back to back.

The older I’ve gotten though, the more practical my wish lists seem to get, and while this isn’t a bad thing, I know it can make things look less exciting even though these things would be exciting for me! And just like we all had “reach” schools when it came to completing to college applications, I included a reach gift in the form of a vacuum cleaner too.  I’ve included links to the items below. And since my parents shop my guide on my blog, I’ve also included sizing and discount code information that they may want to know.

Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Pressure Cooker

On sale seemingly everywhere at the moment.

This is at the top of my wish list since it combines an instant pot and air fryer in a single appliance. It definitely looks like it will take some room to store, but the ability to cook in various ways all in one device makes that seem minor.

The Skinny Taste Air Fryer Cookbook and The Skinny Taste Meal Prep Cookbook

Last year or the year before, I received another one of the Skinny Taste Cookbooks and it coupled with the Skinny Taste website is how I come up with many of the new recipes I want to cook. With the ability to potentially have access to an air fryer and instant pot, I think these cookbooks would give me plenty of new ideas for easy meals I want to make!

Back Neck and Shoulder Massager with Heat in Beige

Currently 18% off.

This may be the oddest thing I’ve put on a wish list, but given the knots in my shoulders and the positive reviews on Amazon, I think it’s a gift that could keep giving.

Bala One Pound Bangles in Sand

25% off and Free Shipping using the link above.

I started seeing these become popular when everyone was working out at home at the beginning of quarantine, but now that I’m back to going to true40 some, I think that these would make a great addition to those classes in addition to being used at home.

Blue and White Backgammon/Checker Board

It’s always nice to have something to play with on Christmas morning, and since this year seems to be the year of bringing back card and board games, I’d love to have this blue and white backgammon board as an addition to my game drawer.

Adidas NMD_R1 Shoes in Chalk White size 8

30% off with code BRING JOY

Growing up, we always seemed to have our running shoes and what we called “knock around” shoes. These would be classified as "knock around" shoes to me. To make my running shoes last longer, a good pair of neutral shoes to wear on walks or running errands could be a nice gift. I really like the color scheme of this Adidas pair.

Silk Pillowcases

I just ordered new pillows for my bed since my current down ones have flattened nearly entirely, and I would love a pair of silk pillowcases to put on them. While there are some out there that are really expensive, the ones linked above from amazon have tons of good reviews.

Black Amazon Sweater, size Small.

I just got this sweater in white and already know I’ll be living in it. It’s so easy to throw on with leggings since it’s longer in length and looks more put together than throwing on a sweatshirt on days I am working from home. I’d love to have a black one as well to have to wear on rotation as the temperature continues to cool down.

Dyson Cordless Vacuum

On super sale at the Dyson outlet (linked above) but also all over the internet, like here on Amazon.

This is my “reach” gift since it’s expensive and a bit random. I don’t expect to receive it and instead guess that my parents will laugh when they see that a vacuum made it onto my wish list. But, I know it would make vacuuming that much more fun and would be an upgrade from what my roommate and I currently use.

Tuckett Barre Socks in Blush Ascent or Heather Summit

Some of my barre socks have completely lost their grip, and the ones I have by Tuckett seem to be the ones I reach for most often. Since I admittedly only tend to do laundry once a week, it would be nice to have a couple of new pairs to reach for.

Glamorous Wash Diva Detergent

My “signature scent,” as some of my friends like to say. I’m almost out of my favorite laundry detergent and would love to receive a new bottle!

HRH: So Many Thoughts On Royal Style by Elizabeth Holmes

I've loved following Elizabeth Holmes SMT series on Instagram the past couple of years and would love a copy of her new book. I love coffee table books to begin with but the color of this one coupled with her wit and interpretation of why things may be worn would be a fun thing to flip through. I also think this would be a fun book to read through (or gift) other girl's in my family!

Memory Foam Slippers in Khaki Size 8-9

I love the slippers I have, but they don't have all that much cushioning and are now completely flat with no foot support. While, usually, this wouldn't be a big deal given how often I've been wearing them lately I think for the sake of my feet a new pair would be helpful. I've heard incredible things about this under $25 pair!

I know my parents are probably looking at this list, thinking what an odd assortment it is. Maybe I’ll come up with other ideas in the coming weeks and send them their way!

Cyber Monday Sale Outfit Inspiration

Today is a very wintery Monday here in Birmingham, which makes me extra thankful to be working from home today. Gift Guide: What To Ask For For Christmas (Great Gifts For Women)

Thanksgiving weekend has always been when our Christmas lists are due. This year it has been quite the task coming up with what I want to ask for, and having my Christmas and birthday back to back doesn’t make it any easier. I’ll share the list I’ve come up with on the blog tomorrow but first wanted to share some ideas of great gifts to ask for.

I know we’ve all had that moment of thinking what should I ask for for Christmas and creating a gift guide centered around that has been really popular in last years when I’ve published it. I own some of the items featured and can personally attest to how much I like them, and the other items are things that caught my eye as great gifts for women. The price points are all over the place, so maybe something on here will help you fill any size gap in your list. If you’re using this post as a guide for what to buy someone, the standout items that I own and most girls my age would love include the Outdoor Voices Exercise Dress (I talked about it in this post), the Revlon Hair Dryer, and the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings although you can’t go wrong with any of these products.

Before we get into all of these ideas, I wanted to take a moment to share all of the different guides I’ve already shared for different recipients this year. I’ve linked directly to them below to make shopping as easy as possible.

Gift Guide: What Y'all Are Asking For This Year

I had so much fun putting together my post last week highlighting the best gifts y’all have received. It gave me some great ideas of what I could potentially put on my wishlist this year. And while there were certainly plenty of ideas in that post, I figured today I’d share even more by sharing what y’all told me was on your Christmas list this year. If you happen to be shopping for any late teen or twenty-something girls, then I have a feeling this will be a jackpot for you of different ideas at a range of price points.

Before we get into all of these ideas, I wanted to take a moment to share all of the different guides I’ve already shared for other recipients this year. I’ve linked directly to them below to make shopping as easy as possible.

Gift Guide: Small Business Saturday Finds

How are y’all shopping Small Business Saturday? I’m shopping it online from my parent’s house instead of heading in stores. It was so cool to see many small businesses I love pivot their target market online, and it’s definitely made shopping today easy. I’m determined to finish all of my Christmas shopping by tomorrow, and browsing through my small business to shop this holiday season post helped me narrow a few things down. In case that post wasn’t quite enough inspiration, I’ve put together my favorite Small Business Saturday finds below for y’all. Many of these shops are offering sale codes, so be sure to look for those before you check out!

Gift Guide: Boyfriend, Husband, Brother, Son

My friends love to tell me how difficult I am to buy gifts for. I’m quick to argue that I have a whole blog that shares things I’ve found and like, so I’m really not that difficult to buy for, but they still disagree. But one group of people that I think we can all agree is challenging to shop for are guys.

Whether you’re shopping for a boyfriend, husband, fiancé, brother, or son, I think I’ve covered great gift ideas for any guys on your list. I’ll probably be shopping this guide to cross my brother off of my gift buying list. There’s a healthy mix of fun and practical finds and many items I’ve gifted before that were well received.

You can shop the links under this image or scroll to the bottom of the page to shop using the clickable image. Hopefully, this makes holiday shopping even easier for you!

My Favorite Black Friday Finds + Sale Codes to Use

Happy Friday. It’s supposed to be a bit rainy here today, so I have a feeling I’ll be spending lots of time on my computer today. Given the fact that it’s Black Friday, and I like sharing my favorite finds with y’all, I’d probably be doing that anyway. Before we get into my sale list and top finds, I wanted to share an outfit favorite I’ve been wearing on repeat lately. The best part is that most of the pieces are currently on sale.

I was so excited to discover this  ruffle neck and sleeved white sweater on H&M’s site earlier this fall. I had seen it when there were no sizes in stock and was really bummed as I nearly resorted to buying a similar but much  more expensive version from Madewell. When it came back in stock, I immediately scooped it up in every color available. While the grey and black ones are cute (I just saw there is now a maroon option, too), I definitely get the most wear out of the white one (I sized up to a medium) since it’s easy to pair with various accessories. This  headband was one of my more recent accessory finds that has gotten a lot of wear. While I love the look of knotted headbands, I am always concerned that the knot will be too big, but this one is just right. The animal print pattern on it also pairs well with my  Barrington Gift's St. Anne axis print tote

The real kicker of this outfit (pun intended, I suppose) are the  booties and  jeans I am wearing. They are some of my most worn pieces in the fall and winter, and with good reason. Last year none of my jeans felt like they were fitting right, even the ones I ordered straight to my parent’s house to meet me at home for Thanksgiving. I was frustrated until I finally took myself to Madewell and decided to invest in a new pair. While all the other pairs I had from various places were likely to stretch out over the course of the year, my Madewell ones have kept their shape and are really comfortable. If you’re in the market for new jeans, they have a ton of options, all of which are currently 30% off. The ones I reach for most are their  10” high-rise skinny jeans. I have a feeling if I order any clothing for myself today, it’ll be a second pair of those. As for the  booties, they were a Nordstrom sale find that when I ordered, I wasn’t positive if I’d want to keep them since I had some that were similar from year’s past. As soon as I opened the box, I knew they’d be staying, and after trying them on, I was sold. The pointed toe elongates the legs nicely, and there are a few different colors that should help to fill any gap you may have in your closet.

Sweater (on sale for $17.49) //  Headband (on sale for $15.40) //  Jeans (on sale for $95) //  Booties (on sale for $94.90) //  Barrington Gift's St. Anne Tote (on sale for $136) //   Michele Watch (on sale for $745)

Below are some links to the sales I’ll be browsing today. I’ll be updating this post all day with images of my favorite items from each retailer, so if you’re feeling overwhelmed searching on your own, be sure to check back here periodically. I’ll also be sharing another highly requested gift guide this afternoon, so stay tuned!
