ABOUT ME

Hey y'all! I am ecstatic that you've found my colorful corner of the internet and are interested in taking the time to get to know me and what my blog is about. I'm a 22 year old college senior attending school at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina while sticking to my Alabama roots with the frequent use of the word "y'all" and finding "Roll Tide" as an acceptable response to just about anything.

At Furman I am majoring in Elementary Education with plans to pursue my masters degree in Early Childhood Education upon graduating in May of 2017. At school I am very involved with my sorority, Kappa Delta, where I served as both President and Vice President of Public Relations which is how I spent a large majority of my time. In the free time I have between meetings, class, volunteering in local schools, and being a regular college student with a social life you can find me working out, drinking an obscene amount of coffee, baking, and creating new content right here on Prep In Your Step.

While a list of things I love would be extensive here are a few things that never fail to bring a smile to my face: bright colors, pretty paper goods, baking, peppermint anything, Gilmore Girls, hand written notes, matching pajama sets, barre classes, babies, tassels, Myers Briggs personality types, brunch, interior design, coffee, navy blue, organization, and golden doodles just to name a few.

ABOUT PREP IN YOUR STEP

I am enchanted by the south and everything in it. As a lover of bright colors, organization, and sharing everything that entices me Prep In your Step embodies my personality and interests and aims to inspire everyone who crosses my path. I sure hope this is the way you feel when reading new posts and scrolling through my various social media platforms.

Prep In Your Step has grown up with me since it began in December of 2011 during a particularly stressful school year. My first post was written as a way to de-stress and do something for myself aside from homework and extracurriculars in a way that allowed creativity and it has been doing that ever since. What started as a hobby has grown more than I would have ever imagined it could. I have since discovered that as a lover of productivity I'm not the type to sit around with nothing to do and I believe that's how Prep In Your Step has continued to be a part of my life for 5 years and over 1000 posts.

With southern lifestyle being so much of who I am that can be seen through my posts, mannerisms, and personality. I am still just as inspired by my surroundings and have continued to find so much joy in creating new content and sharing my life with all of you. What started as a hobby has led me to share everything from outfits to organization, interiors to advice, recipes and ramblings inviting you to "prep" for whatever is to come in your life and "step" into mine.

And because it doesn't feel like you really know me until we've talked in person I've created this fun video talking a bit more about myself and my blog for y'all! I hope this makes us feel a bit more like friends!

Find me here or roaming around my other social media accounts on a regular basis.
