Marley Lilly

Hello!!! So a little before Christmas Marley Lilly had a contest that they announced on Christmas day and I was ecstatic when I found out I won! The prize was a monogrammed scarf and unless you are new to reading blogs or writing a blog then I am sure you've seen tons of posts all about the company and their preppy scarves. Well I got to choose the color and monogram style and I love the way it turned out! And even better they got it to me in 3 days! Can you say awesome! Here is what it looks like:

It is safe to say I am obsessed! If you have never been to their website you can check it out here.

These are the other beauties on their website that I want:
I love this bracelet!
And this purse!
 this necklace!
And this ring!

And pretty much everything else on the website! So thank you again Marley Lilly for my scarf!! And in true southern fashion you have a thank you note coming your way!

Happy New Years Eve to you all!! Please be extra careful tonight and stay safe!

With Love,

This Break

Well this break has been relaxing...Thank goodness! And I really haven't done that much but I am perfectly okay with that. I've slept which is such a nice change from during the semester sleep! I have gone to soccer training and indoor games. I have hung out with friends. I went and saw New Years Eve (which was really good!). I went to my grandparents house for Christmas and my birthday. I opened presents. I have spent time with family! I have eaten more than enough. I've blogged. I've shopped. I have read and enjoyed reading some books. I have been catching up with missed episodes of Glee, Gossip Girl, and the O.C. And I have baked! And tomorrow I am going with friends on a day trip to New Orleans for shopping and food! Yay can't wait!

What have y'all been up to?

Happy Thursday!

Hello! I am sad that I am again apologizing for the inconsistent blogging. The holiday season has really changed my routine. But since I am back I decided I would share what I got for Christmas and my birthday (12/26). I always love seeing what other people have received when viewing their blogs and in no way am trying to make this look "bragy"...So here it is:
Oh boy was I surprised when I unwrapped this after my parents had told me there was no way I would be receiving it because we were having a small Christmas...they fooled me! (And I am loving it! Never going back to a PC)
I love these! Wore these all day after I unwrapped the box!
I got this in sterling silver and it is precious. It even looks cute by its self and not stacked with is perfect considering I am going to have to patiently wait for the others!
Jonathan Adler laptop needs my monogram on it and then I think it will be set!

Are these not the cutest pushpins! Yay Anthropologie!

Same with these! They are also push pins.

Cute makeup bag that I will probably end up using as a pencil case for school because I like it so much!

My aunt gave me this vintage Gucci bracelet!! It was definitely one of my favorite gifts because it was such a surprise! I love it and it looks super cute with my David Yurman bracelet! I plan to wear it daily!

I also got lots of smaller gifts too but I decided only to include the ones above...otherwise there would be a picture overload and I would be a tad bit overwhelmed!
Hope everyone else's holiday season was just as fun!!

Time to Celebrate!

Because it is boxing day...Just kidding! It is my birthday, the big 1-7. Not much changes from 16 to 17 but it is an excuse to celebrate and I am perfectly ok with that! We are having a family birthday lunch with cake and the whole shebang! Yippeee! Here is a glimpse at the excitement... more photos to come later I promise but for now photos taken on my MacBook

Happy Birthday to me!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from Prep In Your Step! I hope your holiday is filled with family, fun, and friendship. I hope all my followers are safe and feel so very blessed for all the gifts they are receiving! Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I am out of town and today is the fist day I have turned on a computer since I left. It also helps that I got a new one this morning, but more to come with the presents received later!
Merry Christmas!!

Packed and Ready

Hi! I'm sorry this post is so late, I didn't realize how long it would take me to pack. Today was very low key and the first day all break I did not have to set an alarm! I went to lunch and saw New Years Eve, which was super good and I recommend it! And this evening I had an indoor soccer game (which my team won!).  Then it was packing time. Confession: I am not the lightest packer but we are taking three cars so this trip that didn't really matter. The following pictures are ones I took while packing and hopefully while at my grandparents house I will remember to take pictures of the outfits, but for now...
Jeans. From top to bottom: J.Crew, Banana Republic, J. Brand, Joe's

Sweaters: J. Crew, J. Crew, Old Navy, Polo

Jackets: Patagonia, Vineyard Vines, Monogrammed Sweatshirt

Coat: Jack by B.B. Dakota

Help me choose which one to wear on Christmas Eve please! Both I would wear with tights and flats. Option #1

Option #2

Christmas Pajamas and Birthday Pajamas!

I am sorry I did not take pictures of the shoes I am taking or some of the other clothes I brought, but maybe if I remember to take outfit photos you will be able to see the rest. And please help me choose which Christmas Eve Dress!

Merry (ALMOST) Christmas,

Four Days!

I can not believe Christmas is in a mere four days! Holy cow time really has flown! Yesterday was the gingerbread cookie and house decorating party and we had a ball! I'm pretty sure each of us had to take a break in between gingerbread men because of all the sugar! Cleanup wasn't quite as fun but it was all worth it. I was exhausted after all of it, my excuse for the lack of posting yesterday. Today I had my last soccer workout for the break and I am very excited about that! On Friday I leave for my grandparent's house for a little while for some fun family times! I really can't  wait, it is a blast! I can't remember the last Christmas I was actually at my house (I think I was 6). Here is a sight at the counter while we were decorating, enjoy:
We got a little carried away and then got lazy with it. Gotta love it though!! MMMMM

4 days!

Exciting News!

Hello! While coming home from my class trip I received the most exciting news! What might this news be you ask? Well, I got the job of junior counselor at the camp I've been attending for six summers. This made me ecstatic. I honestly don't know how I would function during a summer without camp. The camp I attend is incredible. It is all girls and the counselors and other campers are so much fun to be around! I have made some of the best friends over my years at this camp and miss them so much during the school year. But, fortunately I think we are all getting together over new years! We live semi far apart but last year when we got together over new years we had a blast and there was no way we couldn't do it again this year. What better way to ring in the new year! Here are some pictures of us from this past summer (our last year as campers):
I mean come on, who wouldn't want to hangout with these goofballs all summer?
We even celebrate Christmas (in July) together!
I miss them lots!
We have dance parties.
We search for hidden counselors (and find them).
We play fun games!
We smile.. A LOT!
We host night time events dressed as the Harry Potter cast.
We excel in our activities.
We are leaders of our clubs.
We get a little excited when we win something.
And we are devastated and cry our eyes out when it is time to leave!

No fear, you are sure to hear more and more about camp and the girls I spend my summers with in the future. But for now I'm giddy with the exciting news of getting to be a counselor!

I'm Back!

Sorry for the absence of post yesterday, I've just been exhausted! To begin I want to thank my guest posters! How awesome are they!? I had the most amazing time with my class and I feel like we all really bonded! I would do it every year if I could, two 14 hour bus rides and all! I am so relieved it is christmas break and am so excited to have time to relax. I do have soccer workouts so I guess that adds the slightest bit of routine. And on Tuesday I am having a gingerbread cookie and house decorating party. I did this last year too and we all had a ball. I'm excited to repeat this because in a few years when my friends and I are all off at different colleges it will be the perfect way to bring us back together. Today I bought all the supplies and it makes me so excited! Here are a few pictures from the class trip for your enjoyment:
we woodworked
we hiked
we had a hoedown
we acted silly
we bonded
and bonded more
and we ended the trip as one tired, happy camper

I'm sure I will have another post with more pictures but sadly they will be the ones my friends took because I was having too much fun to think about taking pictures!

Glad to be back!
