Although most people are already done reflecting on the past year and are running full speed ahead with their goals for 2019, I’m not quite finished processing 2018. I’m an overthinker by nature and have a few more reflection style posts for y’all before I hit the ground running on what 2019 may have in store for me. I hope that is ok with y’all.
One thing that I enjoy doing toward the end of one year and the beginning of the next is looking back month-by-month at my blog posts to pick favorites. It is a good way for me to reflect on what I’ve created while brainstorming ideas of how I can share more of what I really love with you. One of the best parts of this process is comparing my favorite post from each month to the one with the most traffic. Our choices usually don’t align which is a good reminder that everyone comes to my blog to get something different. Some of y’all couldn’t care less about fashion style posts while others aren’t interested in stepping into my week to read about what I’ve been up to. This realization is a good reminder to me that it’s ok to post about a variety of things since more than anything Prep In Your Step serves as my creative outlet that for one reason or another people choose to read.

As I was looking back over my posts from 2018, it hit me that I have been blogging for seven years. I hope that made your jaw drop as quickly as mine did. Seven years is a long time if you ask me. I have a post in the works about my thoughts on blogging and how those thoughts have changed over the past seven years that hopefully, I’ll be able to make slightly more organized and share this month. Thinking back to when I first started my blog is funny since I was so terrified that someone would find out about it since I began well before blogging became a cool/normal thing. There are still times when I am hesitant to share the fact that I have a blog with certain people as I worry it will come across as narcissistic. It’s amazing to see how this little corner of the internet has grown up with me and will hopefully continue to grow.
If there is anything specific you'd love to see in 2019 please let me know!
