If we are being honest, I don't feel like I hit my full Christmas quota this year. With school getting out on the 20th I felt a bit ripped with the amount of stress-free time I had to prep for the holiday. Homemade Christmas cookies were nixed, packages were wrapped right before leaving to head home, Christmas music was usually classical in order to get work done, and I didn't even make it through all of my favorite Christmas movies. Bah Humbug. For fear of sounding too complain-y, let's just say that I am giving myself permission to indulge in some holiday cheer a little earlier next year. Anyone else find it so sad that each year Christmas seems to sneak up on them when they used to countdown the days until the big day? Fortunately, without all of those enjoyable moments ahead of time I was still able to enjoy Christmas with my family!
A couple of years ago was the first time I cared more about what I gave than what I received. I'm pleased to say that hasn't changed since that year. I still look forward to shopping for the perfect gift for everyone on my list although sometimes I tend to put a little bit too much pressure on myself to make sure it is the best possible gift. While I didn't feel like I did quite as well this year, my friends and family really did seem to love the gifts I picked out for them. So, before getting into what I received I thought it would be fun to share with you exactly what I gave.
What I Gave For Christmas:
Co-Workers:
I know I mentioned this in another post, but I had to find gifts that were about $10 a piece for my co-workers this year. Since I wanted to make sure the items were things they would actually use I opted for two of my favorite things. First, was a mini size of the best detergent. Seriously, if my friends had to sum me up in a smell it would be the Glamourous Wash Detergent in the Diva scent. The second item was my favorite lip balm. I keep one of these pretty much everywhere. From my car to my bedside table to my desk drawer at school I always have one of these on hand. The combination of these two items turned out to be the perfect Christmas prize for each of them!
Roommates/Friends:
Sophia: Sheila Fajl Gold Bracelet.
Ellison: Garden and Gun's S is for Southern.
Caroline: Bath Bomb Set.
Immediate Family:
Mom: Garden and Gun's S is for Southern, Starfish Project Necklace (nearly identical to the one she borrowed from me and adored), her favorite Anthropologie Candle.
Dad: Underwater Puppies, Underwater Dogs, SCOUT tote bag for Scout, and Treat Jar filled with tennis balls.
Gil: Oh The Meetings You'll Go To, 101 Things They Don't Teach You In Law School Book, Sweater, and socks.
Grandparents:
Grann: Amazon Echo Dot
Grandaddy: We Took To The Woods Maple Syrup
Now that you have seen what I gave for Christmas now I can share what I received for Christmas and my birthday. My birthday happens to be December 26th so I end up with back to back holidays. I blame this double whammy on the fact that I don't really love my own birthday but love other people's. This year, our family got a really big gift that we happened to pick up on my birthday, a puppy. Although she won't be heading back to Greenville with me in a little less than a week I still consider her partially mien since I've been begging for a puppy for the last 3 years. Below you will find the gifts that I received for Christmas and my birthday. While I wish I had the patience to share each generous gift and stocking stuffer with y'all I decided to narrow it down a bit to make it more interesting for y'all (because I love gum and cash and gift cards but those dot necessarily make for visualizing appealing images). If you're interested in seeing all that was on my list then you can find that in this post!
Tortoise Hoops // Beauty Counter Nourishing Cream Cleanser // Classic Style Book // Nars Cheek Duo // Slippers // Suitcase // Barrington Tote Bag // Perfume Set // You Are A Badass Calendar // Year of Yes // 52 Cups of Coffee // Fangirl // Bakers Gonna Bake Towel // Sunglasses
I would love to hear from you what was your favorite gift to give and receive!
Christmas is a festival full of adventure, gifts, and celebrations and the joy of making gifts for everyone on your own is something that can be replaced with buying gifts. For past years it has been too tough for me to manage the festivals and preparation with my hectic academic routine and being a student I cannot neglect any of the work and delay submissions. Hence this year I heard about Assignment Writing Services and the perks of consulting these services to overcome the educational burden. Moreover, you can easily enjoy Christmas with your family and friends and can prepare everything by yourself.
