Florals for Fall

As excited as I am for a day off on Labor Day I am NOT ready to give up white jeans just yet. They make an outfit look so crisp and fresh with minimal effort, talk about ideal. I've been thankful to have two pairs this summer especially since I've been wearing them nonstop. As a rule follower I know that soon I'll have to give them a rest but for now I'm embracing them and wearing white nonstop (you may have noticed that in my Step Into My Week post) to make up for the season coming to an end.

One of my recent favorite ways to wear white jeans is with a darker color top. This was a find during Tuckernuck's sale and with a number of cute details it's just as cute up close as from a stint. While I'm not positive how it would look with dark wash denim (is there such thing as too much navy?) I love the style so much I am sure I will come up with a solution for wearing this year long. I think my mom's mouth will immediately fall open when she sees this since when I was younger I refused to wear small florals. What can I say, I paid attention to prints at a young age. There was something about the embroidered aspect of the small florals on this blouse that made it more and more intriguing . Combined with the peplum hem and details around the v-neck it was a no brainer to add to my cart considering it's only $35 and looks much more expensive. While I am usually someone who likes my shirts to be a bit longer to cover my hips I love the way this top sits a bit shorter. Paired with my everyday jewelry and tan sandals this has been the best shirt to have on hand when heading to teach.

What's your take on wearing white jeans after Labor Day, do you follow the rule? I've shared some cute pieces below from Tuckernuck that would look cute with white jeans or would be the perfect way to transition into fall whatever your take on the controversy is!
