My Favorite Spring Target Finds

I think it’s a safe guess, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who could write a multiple-page love letter to Target. Whether you go in with a list and can’t seem to stick to it (because, let’s admit, coming out of Target with something that’s not on it is pretty much guaranteed) or love to go and wander the aisle mindlessly as a form of stress relief, there’s always a time and place for a Target trip. My dad would jokingly tag me in memes about missing Target when things were closed at the beginning of quarantine, and he was pretty spot on. There’s something about Target that is soothing to me, but not always my wallet.

When working on Saturday Shopping posts, I like to scroll through various retailers and always like to take a look at Target’s site since despite Target trips not always being friendly on my wallet, at least their clothes and shoes are reasonably priced. On a recent scroll through their site, I came across quite a few items I wanted to try, so I placed an order, and the pieces arrived soon after. I fully expected some of the items to be a miss and was pleasantly surprised by most of them!

Stay tuned later today for an Instagram story try-on session, but in the meantime, I’ve included photos and details about each of the pieces below to aid in your decision making when it comes to slimming down your cart before checking out (because let’s be real, you’re bound to find something you want to add to your closet!). I have done my best to share sizing details for those of you that like that information before checking out. I’m between 5’7” and 5’8” and typically wear a small, 2-4, or 27 in jeans. Most of the time if I size up it’s because I want a looser fit or a bit of added length. I have noted below when that may be the case!

Color: Cream
Size: Medium
Price: $25.00
Comes in 6 other prints.

This dress isn’t exactly form-fitting and definitely fits more like a tent than anything else. Despite how flowy it is, I absolutely love it. I went a size up (medium) in this print for added length and should have stuck to my typical size. The length of this dress is great and feels work-appropriate. The print is a combination of purple and orange, and the details on the upper portion of it are really cute.

Color: Blue
Size: Small
Price: $25.00
Comes in 6 other prints.

This is the same dress as the one above in blue and white stripes and also the proper size. Even when sticking to my normal size, the length is work-appropriate. It’s not see-through but is something I may opt to wearing a slip under on occasion. It has pockets for any of you that are easily sold on dresses with that feature!

Color: Light Purple
Size: Medium
Price: $15.00
Comes in 9 other colors.

I had high hopes for this dress since I love a peplum hem, but I’m afraid this one felt a little bit short on me. I sized up to a medium with hopes of added length, but it made the fit too roomy under my arms. If you’re on the shorter side and can stick to your normal size then this will be a great dress to have on hand over the summer. The material is really soft, and it comes in a bunch of different colors.

Who What Wear Flutter Sleeve Dress (not online yet)
Color: Pink
Size: Medium
Price: $34.99 (I think)

I thought this dress was cute on the hanger but LOVED it when I put it on. I sized up to a medium for added length, which may not have been necessary, but since it’s flowy to begin with, I knew it wouldn’t impact the fit of it through the body of the dress. The flutter sleeves are really cute, it has a tie detail on the back, and the way the seam runs diagonally across the front of the dress makes it a bit more interesting.

Color: Blue
Size: Small
Price: $34.99
Comes in 3 other prints.

The last thing I need in my closet is more blue and white, but this dress was cute online and even cuter in person. The details on it are really well done and it’s the perfect midi length. It’s another one with pockets, and I’m glad I stuck to my normal size when ordering it!

Color: Purple
Size: Medium
Price: $24.99
Comes in 2 other colors.

I wanted to love this top, but unfortunately, it was sheerer than anticipated. The embroidery on it and button details are cute, but I think I’ll be returning this since I don’t always love having to wear camis under blouses. The other colors available may not have this issue, but since I didn’t see them in-store I can’t say for sure.

Color: White
Size: Medium
Price: $24.99
Comes in one other print.

This cute printed top is what led me to actually check out when I was placing my order since I was afraid it would sell out. I love the sleeves and the print and that it’s thick enough to not be see-through. I prefer it front tucked with white jeans but know I’ll be wearing it with jean shorts too since it’s one of those pieces I know will be reached for often in the coming seasons.

Color: White
Size: Small
Price: $20.00
Comes in 5 other colors.

This top was the exception to my ‘I don’t like wearing two shirts’ rule since the white of it is thin enough that a cami is necessary. At $20, I may go back for another color (which may not require a cami) since this is a shirt style I love!

Price: $10.00
Comes in 2 other colors.

There’s not much to say about this headband aside from that the colors and print on it are really cute. I like that the knot doesn’t stick too far off of my head, and the actual headband that rests against your hair is flat! It’s an easy way for me to accessorize an otherwise plain outfit.

This dress and this dress are currently waiting in my cart for the next time I checkout! If you’re interested in seeing the other Target finds I’ve had my eyes on, you can shop them by clicking directly on what you’re interested in in the image below!

  1. Good clothes require good shoes. I find the jordan 4 sneakers great. I have been using this model for a long time and I think it goes great with such clothes.
