Favorite Christmas Gifts I've Received

I can not believe how quickly Christmas is approaching. With all of this planning for holiday blog content and the like you'd think I'd be super prepared for Christmas to be a little over a week ago but in some ways I definitely am not. There is still shopping to be done, movies to be watched, and food the be baked before I am adequately prepared

When thinking of post topics gift guides seemed like an obvious option since that's how I get great gift ideas for other people on my list. But when thinking about other fun options of posts I thought it would be fun to share some of the favorite gifts I've received over the years in hopes of giving you a few additional ideas. While some of these items are certainly larger ticket items they give you ideas for potential gifts either way.

I realize that all of these gifts have one thing in common, they are practical and things I can use frequently. Sometimes I am drawn away from asking for items that are more practical in nature since it feels as though Christmas is the time to ask for items you wouldn't typically buy yourself. However, in reality it seems as though these are the items I should ask for more since they certainly get more use than some of the other gifts I've received.

Other gifts that I considered including were experiences such as a trip to Asheville and the Biltmore that I took over Easter break of my freshman year and tickets to see the Dixie Chicks in concert this summer. While these are definitely one time use gifts they are memorable and would be the perfect idea for that person who seemingly has everything.

I'd love to know what some of your most used Christmas gifts have been!

  1. I love these! My favorite gifts are fun versions of practical gifts - whether that's because they're the premium version of something, or just receiving something you need but didn't want to purchase yourself. One of my favorite gifts was the Christmas my parents bought my car new snow tires and the year I received tickets to see the Mary Poppins musical in Denver.

  2. I've been wanting to try the tory burch rollerballs for a while now! My most used gifts have definitely been my laptop and (surprisingly) my water bottle!
