Welcome to another month of trying to come up with favorite products when the products I’ve been using have remained pretty consistent, and the number of places I am going to has continued to slim! If things continue this way, I’m not sure what will be left to share come June. Luckily I was able to come up with a few things worth sharing with y’all that will maybe strike your fancy too.
J.Crew Headband (love this one too)
I’ve been pretty much convinced since the headband trend began that I just wasn’t going to be able to pull it off. I prefer to cover my ears (even when I am wearing a ponytail), so the thought of exposing them wasn’t of much interest to me, and I have a small-ish head that I had convinced myself to not even try the trend. Well, that lasted until I saw J.Crew release a Liberty of London printed headband, and my previous argument went out the window. I’ve loved Liberty prints for a while now and gave one of the multicolored ones a try and was surprised by how much I loved it, especially as a small scale accessory. I’ve paired mine with denim and white tops on a handful of occasions and love the way it makes any outfit look more intentionally put together!
These were one of those items that I saw at one point on Instagram and happened upon in the store and immediately tossed in my cart without a second thought. I am quick to trust other people’s Trader Joe’s recommendations, and hopefully, with this one, you are quick to trust mine as well! These have been my mid-morning snack of choice and pair perfectly with my second or third cup of coffee in the morning. I used to not be huge on coconut but have grown to like it more as of late, especially when it is paired with chocolate. If you’re looking for an easy treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, you may want to grab some of these on your next grocery run.
Quarantining has led to some pretty creative ways to attempt to pass the time, and for me, board games are a no brainer. When I went home for Easter, I raided our board game drawers and brought a few back to Birmingham, with Scrabble being my most frequently played one since. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post for some pretty board game options I’ve found online that I wouldn’t mind adding into my gaming rotation.
Nothing like a lot of time and no haircut in the near future to encourage me to use up the remains of my Olaplex No. 3 hair mask. I ordered a new bottle during Sephora’s sale and have officially finished the last bit of my original one since. This product is magic and leaves your hair feeling so much softer and looking healthier after a single-use. Now that I have more, I am hoping to use this more consistently to keep my hair in check!
While not having to really get ready for work has been nice in a lot of regards, I’ve found that freshening up my face even the slightest bit makes me feel more confident and put together during the day. The only product needed to do that is this Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer. It comes out of the bottle white and then adds a sunkissed glow to match your skin tone as you rub it in. It’s almost as if you’re physically applying an Instagram filter to your face. I still have half of a bottle of this and went ahead and repurchased it since it’s my summertime makeup staple.
With more time comes accomplishing those tasks that I often find myself putting off, like washing my makeup brushes. I don’t know why I have in my head that this is such a chore, but I should definitely be doing it more often than I do. When I do remember to wash them, I love using this Makeup Brush Cleaning Pad that helps to make sure you’re truly cleaning all of the product out of your brushes.
I’d love to know what items have made your favorites list over the past month!
