Game Day Ready: Attire, Accessories, and Homegating Supplies

This weekend marks the third Saturday in October which means one thing for Alabama and Tennessee fans, it's game time. I toyed with the idea of going since originally my brother and his wife were planning to come for it but even once they decided against it my friends and I had tossed the idea around. As of right now, we're not planning to head 45 minutes away to Tuscaloosa but instead will watch it from home or someplace local in Birmingham.

Our house has become the hot-spot for game watching since we have our back deck set up with a projector and screen giving everyone a clear view. Plus, who doesn't love soaking up brisk fall weather by doing things outside? It's not a true game watching gathering without refreshments of some sort and while we usually rely on s'mores and any type of hot dip (gimme all the buffalo chicken or bacon-swiss dip), for earlier games we opt to stick for something a bit simpler. If you haven't made the White Chocolate Candy Snack Mix I shared in a blog post earlier this year prepared to be everyone's favorite attendee!

I don't love having to spend a lot of time in the kitchen cleaning up once everyone has left so cute paper products are my go-to when hosting. Especially when it's a night game and the last play happens way after my ideal bedtime. Draper James and Coterie Paper teamed up to create the cutest line of paper products centered around game time without a tie to a specific team which I have to admit is nice when most people are either loyal Alabama or Auburn fans here. Most of the collection is still available on Coterie Party's website although some of it is still available on Draper James site as well.

When it comes to what to wear that's when it can get tricky. It seems like college tailgates have become people's go-to spot to try out the newest trends and I'd much rather stick to what I'm comfortable in. Long gone are the days when a simple sundress made enough of a statement. For casual game watching from the comfort of your home, I found the cutest t-shirts (and yep, they even make them for Auburn fans) at Cradle + Bee. I have the Big Al t-shirt and love throwing it on with workout clothes or a more put-together outfit.

And for those of you heading into the game, a clear bag has become a must. I'm headed to Baton Rouge next weekend with some friends for the Auburn v. LSU game and was lucky enough to get one of MB Greene's new clear circle purse. I love that this bag is a bit more unique than a lot of the clear bags I've seen and LOVE that the company is based out of my hometown of Fairhope, AL. Even if you're not in the market for a clear bag the brand has tons of cute travel bags.

I'd love to hear what products you love for getting game day ready!
