Step Into My Week {2015 #1}

Since starting my Step Into My Week posts this past year and receiving such positive feedback on it it only seems right to continue it into this year! If I had been incredibly social on New Years Eve then I would have loads of sequin filled photos to share with y'all but instead I spent the most relaxing night hanging out with friends and baking a delicious dinner and cake accompanied by sparkling cider!

After unpacking my Christmas and birthday gifts (lots of books and I couldn't be more excited) I rearranged my bookshelf and loved how bright and colorful all of the books look arranged together.

I received a typography / calligraphy book for my birthday as well as a sketch pad to practice in and I have loved doodling and practicing in it! This is one of my practice pages but I loved the way it turned out.

This week has included lots of trips to my favorite at home coffee shop with friends!

Leafing 2014 behind.

As for what is on my radar ...

My pinterest has been getting A LOT of love lately since whenever I have free time (pretty much the entirety of my break) I have been perusing pinterest.

I'm sad that I only have a little bit longer back at home before heading back to school. Although, I did receive the most horrible email ever the other morning, one of my teachers for this upcoming semester sent our class an assignment due on the first day of class. This would be less of a problem if it didn't involve ordering the textbook (won't be here until Monday, funny how that works out), reading it, and completing a 130 point assignment on it without knowing the teacher. And, to make things even more rushed and stressful I don't have that much time to complete the assignment with rush occurring and having to head back to school 4 days early with no time to work on this. Let's all hope I can be super diligent on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to complete this before heading back, talk about ending my break with a bang. The silver lining in this? An excuse for me to go ahead and stock up on my school supplies for the upcoming semester. It's nearly embarrassing how much fun I have shopping and organizing my supplies! Maybe I'll include what I pick out in next weeks post!

Happy Friday!

  1. Oh no what a mean teacher! I am currently flailing about the amount of revision I have to do for my exam in two weeks time. I will secretly be quite glad when it is January 21st and I can get back to normal life a bit.

    I may use your step into my week idea on my blog, which I am just slowly getting started with. Do you mind? I will link back to your lovely blog too :)

  8. I absolutely hate that for you! I went ahead and checked out the BlackBoard for one of my online classes today & it seems that I'm having an assignment due the week we start back to classes, so I almost feel your pain!

    Can't wait to see what kind of supplies you get for the semester-that's always my most favorite part of going back to school as well!
