This past weekend was fall break and Nell, Caroline, and I headed to Nell's grandparent's property (in the same town where my grandparents live, small world!) for an extended weekend of all things fun and farm related!
Climbing some trees gave us an even better view of some of the fields.
On Sunday, my cousin had his eagle scout ceremony in the same town, talk about perfect timing so not only was I able to see my friends but I was also able to go to his ceremony and see all of my family!
I shot skeet for the first time and had an absolute blast with it. Shockingly, I hit my very first two and begged to stop after that but I continued shooting and decided it was just beginners luck. Nell's brothers definitely showed us up but it was so fun to try. I am hoping to practice some over Thanksgiving!
We stayed in a little cabin on Nell's grandparents property and the view in the morning from the rocking chairs on the porch was definitely a favorite of mine!
We couldn't quite resist the sunflowers! We made it at the bitter end of the season but were able to find plenty of pretty ones!
And how could I forget to mention how much food we all ate. So delicious!
This past week felt like such a rush since we only had school today, yesterday, and Wednesday so I don't really have any updates from that. Tonight however, is my first function of the year and I can't wait tot share pictures from that with you next week!
