February 2021 Favorites

Since I already covered how crazy it is to me that it’s already March in Monday’s post, we can stick to the point here in talking about my favorite products from the past month! At first, I didn’t think I’d have anything “new” to share with y’all, but scanning my room and blog post from this past month, I came up with a pretty solid list.

Loft Heart Sweater

If you follow me on Instagram, then this favorite probably comes as no surprise. I ordered this sweater back in January and have worn it multiple times a week since. Whether to work or to a brewery, it has been a favorite to grab lately. It even got a “that’s a cute sweater” comment from Hunter after it took him approximately two hours to figure out the symbols on it were hearts, haha. I love the quality of products from Lou and Grey and sized up to a medium in this since I like sweaters to be roomy.

Kristen Ess Shampoo and Conditioner

I shared that I love the Organix shampoo and conditioner in a 2020 favorites post at the beginning of the year and had a reader DM me about an ingredient in the product that can cause hair breakage/falling out. It didn’t take me long to be alarmed and try out the Kristen Ess Signature shampoo and conditioner at her recommendation. I started with the travel size bottles since my hair can be hit or miss when it comes to reacting to different products, and I have since purchased the full-size bottles. It smells really nice, and I love the product’s packaging, which feels like a fun bonus to loving the product.

Revlon Hair Drying Brush

You may be wondering why this product is on here since I’ve loved it for two years. Unfortunately, two years was the limit for my original drying brush, and it got to the point where it wouldn’t blow out hot air. I tried going back to a normal hairdryer for a couple of days and missed the brush so much that I ordered it again when I found it on sale on Amazon. I fell back in love with the product and what a good job it does as soon as the new one came in. If you have been on the fence about trying it, I can assure you I would purchase it time and time again if mine happened to bite the dust again.

Lululemon Ready to Rulu Joggers

February was cold here in Birmingham, and these joggers became my work-from-home uniform over the past month. I still don’t think I’m cool enough to pull off joggers in public and was a bit worried about how much wear I’d actually get out of them when I was given them as a gift, but they have quickly become a favorite. I have them in the chambray color in my usual Lululemon bottom size. These from Amazon look very similar if you want to try out the look at a fraction of the price, although I can’t speak to their quality or fit.

Needlepoint Canvas

I had a bit of a realization at the end of January that I didn’t have any non-productive hobbies and decided that winter months while stuck inside would be an excellent time to try to come up with some. My mom has needlepointed for years, so I’m not sure why it took me so long to try it, but I am glad I did. I am getting close to finishing up the Taco Mama canvas I purchased here and shared more canvases that I’d be interested in doing in this post.

Amazon Airpod Dupe

Hi, my name is Dorothy, and I’m a dummy that lost my AirPods months ago. Given that I rarely lose things, I’m so frustrated that I lost something so expensive. As a punishment, I have told myself I will not re-purchase the real thing and decided to try out an under $20 knock-off pair from Amazon that I’ve been really impressed with. I’ve found that they have an even longer battery life than my apple brand ones did and have overall been satisfied. They are the perfect companion for long walks, and I don’t have to deal with the cord getting in the way while I listen to audiobooks at work!

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish in Matter of Fiction

I’ve been a long-time fan of Essie’s Gel Couture nail polish. I was out of my previous favorite pink polish and decided to order a similar one that was in stock on Target’s site. I settled on Matter of Fiction and think I found the new perfect pink color. It’s light enough to seem like a neutral but definitely still comes across as pink. I keep telling myself to switch it up between this polish and another when I paint my nails, so I don’t go through the bottle too quickly!

Athleta Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt

For Valentine’s Day, my parents sent me a package that included two cute Athleta pullovers in it that my mom found and purchased for me. While I love both of them, my favorite of the two is the Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt which I would consider to be a light-weight sweatshirt. The material is incredibly soft, and the fit is flattering without feeling tight (I have it in a small). I have the color serendipity blue, which is a fun, bright addition to colder days, but if you’re looking for something more neutral, there are over 20 colors on Athleta’s site!

I’d love to know what you’ve loved this past month. Feel free to let me know in the comments or on my Instagram!
