Gift Guide: My Christmas & Birthday Wish List

I’m going to be upfront with y’all on this, I’m not sure how much inspiration you’ll be garnering from my Christmas and birthday wish list. This year it was more challenging than ever to try to figure out what to ask for. I don’t really need anything, and while there are plenty of things I may have seen that perked my interest, I don’t necessarily need those items either since I have more than enough stuff. I found myself putting more pressure on myself than I usually do, continually reminding myself that this is the one time of the year that I have to ask for things with both major holidays back to back.

The older I’ve gotten though, the more practical my wish lists seem to get, and while this isn’t a bad thing, I know it can make things look less exciting even though these things would be exciting for me! And just like we all had “reach” schools when it came to completing to college applications, I included a reach gift in the form of a vacuum cleaner too.  I’ve included links to the items below. And since my parents shop my guide on my blog, I’ve also included sizing and discount code information that they may want to know.

Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Pressure Cooker

On sale seemingly everywhere at the moment.

This is at the top of my wish list since it combines an instant pot and air fryer in a single appliance. It definitely looks like it will take some room to store, but the ability to cook in various ways all in one device makes that seem minor.

The Skinny Taste Air Fryer Cookbook and The Skinny Taste Meal Prep Cookbook

Last year or the year before, I received another one of the Skinny Taste Cookbooks and it coupled with the Skinny Taste website is how I come up with many of the new recipes I want to cook. With the ability to potentially have access to an air fryer and instant pot, I think these cookbooks would give me plenty of new ideas for easy meals I want to make!

Back Neck and Shoulder Massager with Heat in Beige

Currently 18% off.

This may be the oddest thing I’ve put on a wish list, but given the knots in my shoulders and the positive reviews on Amazon, I think it’s a gift that could keep giving.

Bala One Pound Bangles in Sand

25% off and Free Shipping using the link above.

I started seeing these become popular when everyone was working out at home at the beginning of quarantine, but now that I’m back to going to true40 some, I think that these would make a great addition to those classes in addition to being used at home.

Blue and White Backgammon/Checker Board

It’s always nice to have something to play with on Christmas morning, and since this year seems to be the year of bringing back card and board games, I’d love to have this blue and white backgammon board as an addition to my game drawer.

Adidas NMD_R1 Shoes in Chalk White size 8

30% off with code BRING JOY

Growing up, we always seemed to have our running shoes and what we called “knock around” shoes. These would be classified as "knock around" shoes to me. To make my running shoes last longer, a good pair of neutral shoes to wear on walks or running errands could be a nice gift. I really like the color scheme of this Adidas pair.

Silk Pillowcases

I just ordered new pillows for my bed since my current down ones have flattened nearly entirely, and I would love a pair of silk pillowcases to put on them. While there are some out there that are really expensive, the ones linked above from amazon have tons of good reviews.

Black Amazon Sweater, size Small.

I just got this sweater in white and already know I’ll be living in it. It’s so easy to throw on with leggings since it’s longer in length and looks more put together than throwing on a sweatshirt on days I am working from home. I’d love to have a black one as well to have to wear on rotation as the temperature continues to cool down.

Dyson Cordless Vacuum

On super sale at the Dyson outlet (linked above) but also all over the internet, like here on Amazon.

This is my “reach” gift since it’s expensive and a bit random. I don’t expect to receive it and instead guess that my parents will laugh when they see that a vacuum made it onto my wish list. But, I know it would make vacuuming that much more fun and would be an upgrade from what my roommate and I currently use.

Tuckett Barre Socks in Blush Ascent or Heather Summit

Some of my barre socks have completely lost their grip, and the ones I have by Tuckett seem to be the ones I reach for most often. Since I admittedly only tend to do laundry once a week, it would be nice to have a couple of new pairs to reach for.

Glamorous Wash Diva Detergent

My “signature scent,” as some of my friends like to say. I’m almost out of my favorite laundry detergent and would love to receive a new bottle!

HRH: So Many Thoughts On Royal Style by Elizabeth Holmes

I've loved following Elizabeth Holmes SMT series on Instagram the past couple of years and would love a copy of her new book. I love coffee table books to begin with but the color of this one coupled with her wit and interpretation of why things may be worn would be a fun thing to flip through. I also think this would be a fun book to read through (or gift) other girl's in my family!

Memory Foam Slippers in Khaki Size 8-9

I love the slippers I have, but they don't have all that much cushioning and are now completely flat with no foot support. While, usually, this wouldn't be a big deal given how often I've been wearing them lately I think for the sake of my feet a new pair would be helpful. I've heard incredible things about this under $25 pair!

I know my parents are probably looking at this list, thinking what an odd assortment it is. Maybe I’ll come up with other ideas in the coming weeks and send them their way!
