#StepUpYourReading Books Perfect For Valentine's Day

Phoebe is back today sharing some really fun reads perfect for putting you in the mood for Valentine's Day on Friday!
______________________________________________________________________________

When it comes to February, it’s time for all things love and pink! I personally love Valentine’s Day. After the gloom of January, I think it’s positively perfect to lean into the lovey-dovey nature of the holiday, whether it’s for your romantic partner or your Galentines! Galentine’s Day is definitely the superior holiday, but don’t tell my fiance!

Lately, I’ve been in the mood for RomComs and lighter reads. Here are some of my favorites and some on my To Be Read List for this month of love!

The Simple Wild by KA Tucker
A blogger from Toronto visits her father in Alaska, after not speaking to him for years. She meets a grumpy pilot, who she affectionately dubs a “Yeti,” and a fantastic enemies to lovers rom-com ensues. The sequel, Wild at Heart, comes out on February 18, 2020!

The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa
A wedding planner is left at the altar because the groom’s brother, the Best Man, advises him against marrying her. And five years later, her business is booming, and a once in a lifetime opportunity comes along to become a boutique hotel’s resident wedding planner! The only problem?

To All the Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han--The movie comes out 2.12.20, and I cannot wait!
If you haven’t seen the movie or read this adorable series yet, I cannot recommend it enough!

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
When the entire wedding party comes down with food poisoning except for the best man and the maid of honor, who can’t stand each other, someone has to take the Honeymoon to Hawaii. Olive and Ethan agree to pretend to married to take the trip, but they end up doing a lot more than they bargained for.

I haven’t read this one yet, but it’s on my TBR! Here’s a synopsis from the publisher: Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them...right?

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Another one on my TBR! It’s being made into a movie starring Lucy Hale as well. From the publisher: Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job.
Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude.
Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head, and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or perhaps this is just another game.

The Bromance Bookclub by Lyssa Kay Adams
This was one of my top reads of 2019 because it was just so fun. It follows a professional baseball player as his marriage is crumbling. He’s willing to do anything to save it, so his teammates induct him into The Bromance Bookclub, a book club for men who read romance novels in order to better understand and appreciate the women in their lives. It’s funny, steamy, and leaves you feeling all the love.
