What I Packed For A Charleston Bachelorette Party

April 12th has been marked on my calendar for quite some time now since today is the start of Sophia’s bachelorette weekend in Charleston! I am so excited to be spending the weekend with her and some of her other bridesmaids, and she and I even tacked on a few extra days in the Holy City to play.

For those of you that may not have been following along for a while, Sophia is one of my best friends from Furman. We were both KDs, education majors, and lived together in an apartment junior and senior year. She and I always laugh at the fact that we didn’t know each other very well before that because it feels like we’ve been friends for much longer than we have. Honestly, my guess is that most of you know her from me constantly mentioning her in Step Into My Week posts, especially from this summer when we were partners for our Master’s practicum. It’s rare that we go a day without snapchatting or texting and inevitably end up wanting to buy the same clothes since our style is very similar. Another fun fact for you is that I don’t know Sophia without her now fiancĂ© Judson. They’ve been dating since high school and are finally getting married this summer in Seattle, and I can’t wait. When she asked me to be her maid of honor, it was an easy yes and a near immediate question of where can we do your bachelorette? Charleston was a no brainer and an equally as quick answer from her given it is one of her favorite places.

These photos are from the last time we were in Charleston for that fraternity formal.

The last time I was in Charleston I was actually with Sophia for a fraternity formal, and I am nearly positive that the only reason I was invited was because Sophia begged the boy who asked me to bring me along so that she and I could have an excuse to visit together. This time we are omitting the boys (and hopefully the peach schnapps, haha) for a weekend of fun. I will be sharing so many details from our trip once I’m back but thought it could be fun to share some of the pieces I’m packing both as outfit inspiration for y’all and a packing list of sorts for myself. I couldn’t help but include some similar items and items I’d love to share so be sure to stay tuned to see what I actually end up wearing.

  1. A bachelor party is a good occasion to show your style)) I had a period when I did not have a girlfriend, although I was not against relationships. I despaired and began to actively communicate on a dating site, spicydatefinder.com. It greatly expanded my circle of contacts. I was invited to parties by those who had already found a couple and were preparing for the wedding .. That's how I was able to find the perfect wife for myself.
