My Night Routine

Happy Monday and Happy Halloween! today's post is one that I am so excited to share since so many of y'all have been interested in seeing what my typical night routine entails. For the most part I don't feel as though it is wildly different than most college students but I guess that's for you to judge. While my bed time tends to vary based on the number of meetings I may have and school work there is to accomplish the products I use and order I go about things tends to remain pretty consistent. I'll go over some of my favorite products and how my routine looks once I get back to my apartment on a typical school night and would love to know if your own routine is similar to mine!

After taking my backpack off and catching up with my roommates I like to remove any makeup I may have on before I shower. I have used the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover for as long as I can remember and put some on a cotton round in order to remove any mascara or eye makeup I may have put on.

I've used a Clarisonic Mia Cleansing Brush since high school and definitely think it helps in keeping my skin relatively clear. This brush, The Clarisonic Mia 2, came with the Mia 2 device, a Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, Deep Pore Detoxifying Clay Mask, and a Deep Pore Brush Head. This set would be a great gift idea whether you're looking to give or receive and when I am feeling lazy and forget to use it I can see a noticeable difference. While I sometimes wash my face before getting in the shower I typically do so in the shower. I look to start by applying St. Ives' Blemish Control Apricot Scrub to my face and rinsing it in order to start by exfoliating. Next, I wet my Mia 2 and apply a bit of St. Ives Even & Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Grapefruit Scrub. The brush has two different speeds suitable for all skin types which allows me to adjust the speed based on any skin irritations I may have had. With a timer that indicates when to move onto the next area of your face it is so easy to use and enjoy.

After washing my face I'll usually wash my body and then my hair. I recently tried It's A 10's Silk Express Miracle Silk Shampoo and Conditioner and have been so impressed with the results. I wash my hair and rinse and then leave the conditioner in for a couple of minutes before rinsing. It smells so good and while it is a bit pricy I am hooked.

After getting out of the shower I towel dry my hair for a while and then blow dry it. I start by spraying It's A Ten's Silk Express Miracle Silk Leave-In spray and round brush while blowing my hair dry.

Lastly, if I am feeling like being super conscious of my skin care I use Clarisonic's Detoxifying Clay Mask. I try to do this about once a week to give my skin an added refresh. Then it is time to brush my teeth and apply some chapstick before heading to my bed to go to sleep.

Usually at this point I am pretty exhausted and may try to do a little bit of work or read before falling asleep. My typical bedtime is 11:30 on the early side but more typically closer to 12:15 or 12:30.

I'd love to know what your specific night time routine entails!
