Step Into My Week

Happy Friday Friends! I am thrilled that this week went by relatively quickly and that life seems to be settling down. One of my roommate's and I were sitting at our kitchen island studying last night and were both a bit freaked out that next week is the last week of September. The days are long but so far the school year is flying by making it feel short.

This week didn't have quite as much to it as the past ones and boy am I grateful of that!
I decided to do something kind of different last week and I video blogged my week and combined it into one short-ish (yet, still 20 minute) video. You can watch that here as it took you along with me in real life.

Saturday night was my sorority's first function of the semester. In the past we have done 2 date functions/semester but this year increased it to 3 which is fun but also requires asking 3 dates… fortunately I have a few weeks before having to think about the next one. Our event was called boots and bow ties and was held at Furman's Golf Pavilion which was beautiful. Think food truck, live band, and string lights and it's like you were there with us.

I had so much fun with my date and friends and it definitely sets the bar high for future functions. Our apartment got ready for the event and then had our dates over for a gourmet dinner of frozen pizzas. Then a bunch of our other friends and their dates came over to hang out before we all headed to the trolleys to head to the event. I brought out my regular camera for the occasion so bear with me through this plethora of pictures!

Sunday night we have chapter and one of my roommate's and I decided to go try something from a new juice place on campus! I tried Luca Loving and it was delicious! If you are ever in the Greenville area then you need to stop by Southern Pressed Juicery for an afternoon pick me up.

September is International Women's Friendship Month which is a big deal as a Kappa Delta since this is an initiative we strongly agree with. Since I am in charge of PR I got to plan out all sorts of fun events for our chapter to host. This past week we set up a table in front of the library to have girls write encouraging and uplifting notes to their friends. I was super pleased with this activities success and of course adored an excuse to decorate and purchase fresh flowers!

Tuesday night is my KD family's family dinner night and this week it was my turn to cook! We had ground turkey tacos with mango salsa and guacamole and finished the meal with a delicious slice of cookie brownie. After we ate we decided to walk to the mens soccer game to watch for a bit and have time to catch up.

I have been loving running at sunset lately and haven't been able to get over just how pretty Furman's campus looks around this time! If you are looking for some tips on how to stay healthy in college then be sure to read the tips I posted this past Tuesday!

If you haven't heard me rave about Packed Party yet then I am not sure where you've been. If you want to jog your memory see my posts here and here but I couldn't help but be a bit giddy when this precious navy package showed up in the mail room for me! Packed Party is the perfect place to go for all of your gift giving needs and I can't tell you the number of times I've been tempted to send one of their fabulous packages to myself. If you feel the same way then be sure to use the code partygirlprepinyourstep for a discount on your order!

Lastly I wanted to share an amazing steal of a deal that I found! One of my all time favorite dresses is now available for under $20! Yes, you did read that correctly. Go quick to get yours before it sells out. For reference I am usually a small and have a medium in this piece!

Happy Happy Weekend! Let's all plan to catch up on some sleep and have some fun!
