Happy National Doughnut Day

Sweets are my weakness. While in Paris and London we all swore that we ate dessert at least 3 times a day which is a bit excessive but so delicious. One of my favorite sweet treats has got to be doughnuts! Whether you spell it donut or doughnut I think we can all agree that these tasty treats deserve a day of their own and today they are being very widely celebrated! 

Krispy Kreme is my favorite place to get doughnuts and their "Hot Now" sign should be read by all like a red light meaning you better stop and get those warm original glaze doughnuts now! One of my friends and I were driving somewhere and saw the "Hot Now" sign light up as we drove past so we made a U-turn, waited at two lights, and ordered enough doughnuts to make ourselves sick. Completely worth it. 

In addition to being tasty doughnuts have also become a very popular and trendy to wear on your clothing, float on in your pool, and accessorize with (dare I say they are the new cupcake?)! Here are a few of my favorite doughnut decorated items to help you celebrate National Doughnut Day!
