Packing Predicament

Thinking about packing for Paris has been on my mind ever since I got home and for the whole ride here. However, when Paris and London are involved I can hardly consider this a predicament! With Paris being such a fashionable city I want to look cute but when packing for nearly a month in one suitcase functional is key. Fortunately, I have a few friends who have been to Paris and London during this time and they were sure to give me tips about what to bring! I also have a couple of great travel books that I have been thumbing through for any outfit tips and  travel recommendations.

If y'all have any recommendations for what to pack for a month in may for Paris and London please let me know! Also any favorite places in these areas? Let me know in the comments!!

  2. Hi!
I just recently got back from a week in paris and the south of france!! Make sure you pack a raincoat( I wore mine everyday in paris!). I packed two basic sweaters, one black and one white. For shoes, I'd go with a pair of supergas for walking around and then a pair of sandals! Pack a lot of basics (1 pair of jeans, white top etc...) because you will buy a lot of "special" items that will spice up your outfits!! Hope this helps!!

  6. Hi!
I just spent almost two weeks in Rome, so I know a little of what you are going through :) One thing I would say is layers; it was surprisingly hot out here, but the museums and churches were very air conditioned (plus in Rome, you need your shoulders covered in the churches). Also shoes! Even walking around for 2-3 hours can really tire you out and make your feet very sore, so I would say make sure any shoes you bring you are willing to walk around a while for them and that they are comfortable. Hope you have a great trip!

  7. Hye Dorothy! i live in London so hopefully my advice will be worhtwhile!!
    so here we go!:
    1. Bring an umbrella and scarf as the weather in london can be bipolar at times
    2. bringing comfy shoes as in london every major areas are within walking distance of eachother.
    3. as transport in london is crucial in travelling around i would advise to register for an oyster card as its cheaper than buying tube tickets every time!
    4. On weekdays from (7-8am) and 4-6pm during weekdays is 'rush hour' in london - this means the underground and buses will be packed ( and packed i mean full till the edge of door with people who finished work). so in order to avoid this i would advise to leaver earlier in the evenings or afternoons to travel around so its easier and you can travel at ease!!
    5. Get an underground map as its easy to get confused with westbound and eastbound platforms
    6. if you're looking for a cafe in regents street, then i advise cafe concerto - delicious cake with a lovely traditional british setting!! - definitely recommend it and always full in the evenings because it's absolutely amazing - has tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a variety of amazing cakes!
    7. take hand sanitiser!
    8. take a spare plastic carrier (shopping bag) as in some shops can charge you for it
    9. Have fun and enjoy your stay! - hope you could do a meet up in london!:) x
