Speed Up Your Morning Routine

Now that I am into my first full week (the past two have been 4 day weeks) of sophomore year I am reminded of how crucial sleep is for me. I admire those people who can be fully functioning on 4 hours of sleep. Unfortunately that is definitely not me. I am making a super conscious effort to be in bed by 11:30 winding down for the evening on nights when I do not have a test the next day. Hopefully I can keep it up but no matter what I find myself desperate to snooze my alarm for 5 extra minutes of shut eye.

If you happen to do that (hopefully you don't), below are some tips to speed up your morning routine!

All of these tricks will hopefully help you feel motivated for your morning and the day ahead while allowing you to be extremely efficient!

What are your best tips for a productive and speedy morning?

  1. What always helps me is when I plan out some time (usually thirty minutes to an hour) to just lounge around in my pjs and watch tv or read. Its always quiet and it starts my day out on a good note!

  2. What helps me is if I set out my make-up/ face stuff the night before. So, that I'm not looking for something in the morning. I also try to stagger my wake up time with my sister's so that I don't waste time waiting for the bathroom.

  3. I always try to figure out what I'm going to wear the night before, and also decide if I'll need to wash my hair in the morning or if I can get away with showering at night for the hairstyle! I'm horrible about hitting the snooze button, so I allot extra time for that.
