Work Wear from H&M

After spending time in my classroom this past week it became pretty real that I will be starting my first real job in just over a week. I think my friends and I are all a bit guilty of conceptualizing our rooms and ordering supplies for it that we've almost forgotten that in no time our classrooms will be filled with lots of students ready (or maybe not so ready) to learn.

While I am excited for those first days in the classroom it is also very nerve wracking. Something that always helps me to feel a bit more confident is a put together outfit. Especially in the first couple of weeks that is how I plan to cope with the nerves, picking out outfits that will be comfortable, appropriate, and give me a boost of confidence. While teachers have a more relaxed dress code than many other professions I am not dying to resort to bland and boring clothes and have found that I am just not a capri, cardigan, and ballet flat kind of person. I am 22 after all. Fortunately I have plenty of appropriate pieces in my closet that getting dressed in the morning shouldn't be a big issue but that hasn't stopped me from browsing around on some of my favorite stores sites to find appropriate work wear. I know many of y'all are probably in the same boat as me when it comes to needing to dress professionally but not being willing to neglect your own style when putting an outfit together. So, I thought I'd share some of the pretty pieces I found.

H&M is almost like a more grown up Forever 21. I can find better pieces at H&M than I can at Forever 21 and often have a pretty full cart on the site (and sadly leave it that way most of the time #budgeting). Today I am sharing the pieces I've found on H&M's site but if this is a type of post you'd like to see more of including other retailers definitely let me know and I'l try to create that for y'all!

I'd love y'alls take on appropriate work wear!

  1. I prefer H&M over Forever 21 too. I find the sizes fit me better and I love their recycling scheme. Great budget-friendly clothes!

  2. I love pairing dark jeans with nice tops and booties or flats to create a more casual but still appropriate work look! TJ Maxx and Marshalls are also great places to find work wear.

    Have a great day :)
