For being a short week Friday felt so far away all week! Unfortunately this weekend is not going to be nearly as exciting as last week since I'll be preparing lesson plans and hopefully making sure all my ducks are in a row to teach all subjects to the students while also preparing for Spring Break (one week from today)!
There is a lot to get done before heading home next week but I know having a light at the end of the tunnel will be a great motivator to get it all accomplished. I am so excited to have some time to brainstorm and write different posts that I've been wanting to feature on the blog and I know Spring Break will be a relaxing time to do that. Hopefully I'll spend some time outside soaking up the sun too.
After getting dressed in "teacher clothes" all week when it comes to the weekends I want to be able to grab clothes that I know will be comfortable and that I won't really have to think about when it comes to putting together an outfit. This outfit is one that fits all that criteria for me. I've worn it to coffee shops to study and on car rides to visit friends and I feel equally put together as I do comfortable and cute! I feel like it is no surprise to y'all that I love stripes and combined with the peplum hem I was immediately sold when I saw this shirt. The best part however, is that it is under $20 making it a real winner!
I've also come to realize that a god pair of casual tennis shoes when paired with jeans can be the perfect thing to throw on when you're wanting to be comfortable. In South Carolina we have almost completely moved past being able to wear boots (this winter has been so hot) so I've liked having these gold and white tennis shoes to mix things up. Leave it to J.Crew and New Balance for making tennis shoes look effortlessly cute and not too mom-esque when paired with jeans!
I hope y'all enjoy the last few days of February and are hopefully taking advantage of being outside with the moderate weather most people seem to be getting. On Wednesday I realized that I hadn't been outside since 7:15 when I left at 5:00 so I made it a point to run outside that afternoon. I'm hoping to spend some time outside between lesson planning because it is far too nice not to enjoy!
