Picnic in the Park

With only a few days left before heading back to school I am attempting to make the most of them! While packing up, getting my car serviced, and standardized tests kind of impose on that "fun"mixing those tasks with fun moments definitely makes them slightly better. Yesterday, I got to see Nell after about a month when our schedules were opposite. If you didn't know, Nell takes pretty much all of my outfit photos (and for that I am VERY thankful) and was also my roommate freshman year and is one of my roommates this coming year as well. It's so fun to have her in the pictures for once.

I was working on a fun campaign with IZZE sparkling juices for instagram and after choosing the photo to post on there I found myself smiling at so many of the other photos we took that I couldn't help but want to share! Although yes, setting up a picnic for a post may be a little weird (that's what the poke-hunters around us thought) but in reality it gave us the perfect space to catch each other up on life and relax for a little bit.

Snacks are essential to a successful picnic so I chose wisely (and not based on colors at all…). Something sweet was provided by the ice cream cone cookies contrasted with a salty/sweet popcorn combination made for a perfect array of options for two. And while the starburst were originally more in the "decor" category we ate more of those than anything else!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our little picnic in the park:

I hope y'all have friends that, although they may roll their eyes, would indulge in a little afternoon picnic in the park with you! While this wasn't what I was originally planning to post today I hope you enjoy it and are looking forward to some really exciting content from me in the coming weeks. I have been working really hard to make sure to have plenty blog post and video ideas written down so that I can continue sharing content with y'all even when school starts back! If you have any ideas of things you'd like to see posted please don't hesitate to leave those requests for me!

PS. You can see some behind the scenes of this little shoot on snapchat! It's worth the watch! Find me @prepstepsnaps!

  5. You look so happy! This is such a fun idea--I used to do little picnics like that when I lived in NYC but haven't found a good park to go to back in DC (seems like it would be the other way around, I know haha). Cute post!
