Who wants a highlighter falling to the bottom of their backpack leaking and ruining the contents? I am pretty sure no one does! I have an easy solution that can take that situation out of the equation. Enter pencil pouch. A pencil pouch is the perfect school supply to ensure that all of your writing utensils are together and not lingering throughout your bag. Pencil pouches are also great because you are less likely to loose or break your writing utensils allowing them to last longer.

As you can see from the image above, you can find pencil pouches in tons of cute prints and styles! Makeup bags can work as perfect pencil pouches because pencils are relatively the same length as a brush causing you to have far more options! This year I ordered the Lilly Pulitzer pencil pouch but in years past I have had a cute Anthropologie one and before that Vera Bradley. Etsy is also a great place to browse to find pencil pouches because often they are personalized like the one above! Make sure you find a size that will fit all of your pens, pencils, and highlighters and be sure to put your name in it in case you loose it!
