Kind Campaign!!

Today at my school we did such an amazing thing! We held an assembly for girls about Finding Kind. As a peer counselor at my school I had a big part to play in the putting together of this assembly and let me just tell you, it went swell!!
This is the non-profit's mission statement:
Kind Campaign is an internationally recognized movement, documentary and school program based upon the powerful belief in KINDness that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl “crime.”
And this is how they got started:
In February 2009, while attending Pepperdine University, two young girls recognized a problem and decided to do something about it. Lauren Parsekian and Molly Thompson, both affected by female bullying, decided to create a documentary and non-profit that would ultimately change the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across America. The girls have gone on three national tours, spreading their school assembly program and documentary film in hundreds of schools and communities across the country.

both of those excerpts were taken from their website:http: //www.kindcampaign.com/about/
and they also have a Facebook page which they update often as well: https://www.facebook.com/KindCampaign?sk=wall
(it is quite possible that you may see my picture on that page!)

I highly recommend that any and every school look into getting the adorable girls who founded this non-profit to come and speak at your school and show their documentary because it is amazing! I was fortunate enough to have gotten to sit down and eat lunch with Molly and Lauren (the girls behind the campaign) and they were both so sweet and down to earth!

Here is the trailer for the documentary. As corny as it may seem this is really something amazing!

And here is the other trailer that explains a bit more:

Aren't they adorable!?
I am so glad my school got them to come because as I know not everything is going to be perfect this really makes everyone realize that kindness is achievable by everyone.
And that relates to my favorite quote in the documentary:
"If there is one thing we can all be, we may not all be beautiful, we may not all be smart, we may not all be talented, but we CAN all be kind!!"

See if you can find me on the Facebook page and comment below with your idea on this Campaign!!
